New loft site pictures

Hi as promised here is a picture of the new loft site at the bottom of my field. It has an excellent high location and views of the preseli mountains, I will keep posting pictures as it progreses and would apriciate any feed back on the build.

The loft will be 34feet long 12 feet wide, and have a 4foot corridor inside, floor grilles in the sections, fully heated and airconditioned with a tiled roof.

yes looking good martyn, what is the blue tubing for ? power ? and what will you be putting over the hardcore base with you using a grill floor ?

made a good start there mate will be interesting to see how it developes over the next few weeks

Yes you can see how we have bop problems, they come from nowhere and hit me most days. The tubing you see is the water and the black is electric cable, I will put a concrete base 6 inches deep, then block the back wall for the wind, the base wil have a single block all around which then gives me the grille platform and a pit for droppings to drop into.

sounds good martyn, when will you be progressing with the build ? are you going to get it done as soon as poss or is it something which you are not in a hurry to complete ? also will the rest of the structure be wood ?

Hi David, gona take it slowy, as long as its done for weaning next year around march time, yes the rest is shiplap wood.

Hi Don AND David, Yes I have a small holding about 22 acres right in the middle of pembrokeshire. My work is a garage owner, body shop repairs. Thanks Don you saw my ugly mug then...It was a shock that day winning, Im going to spend the winings on the new loft..If the mrs doesnt get it first..lol

hi martyn, small holding, 22 acres ? thats pretty big area isnt it ? got a lovely view/drop by what i can see in the photo..........havnt seen the pic in the mag, which is it BHW or RP ?
