But the old saying is what you pay for is what you get mate

ive still got a load of felt nails and the black bitumen glue (which is very good) so its only a couple of rolls of felt ill need to buy.................hopefully

yes thats right don, didnt realise till i remembered what i already had left over from the other roof.........cant face building the pillars to support the new loft so i might leave it till next year

You can always make the pillars ready for next year, that's one of the hard jobs out the way first

yes thats true, once the pillars are up the matter of putting the loft up is easy really........its the digging out, concreting and blockwork thats the backbreaker.......

well, as you say....nothing hard about it ian, its heavy work doing all that on your own as you know, but i think for me the main problem is that during racing this season i found out through trial and error that my set up isnt right so at the moment im on with loft alterations ie traps, new sliding door mecinisms, flagging etc......which means that if i start to build the new loft it will just put more pressure on me and more work involved which could mean im not ready to pair up and will have another disaster of a season in 2011.

yes i was david but as you say take your time and get it the way you want

ian, have you ever fitted new wheels to sliding doors / its a nightmare trying to do it as i had to strip the full thing down to get to it....only to find they were the wrong size wheels.............

david dont use the wheel type use the bearing type dearer but last longer

these were on the loft from new ian, metal runners and two wheels......one of the wheels has broken off so i had to replace them both........

now the type david

had the same on mine david, ended up taking them off and had the door opening on hinges mate.

yes i know what your saying little hen, but if im right the door is slightly wider than the doorway so it wouldnt do it.................
