How have your best birds done as youngsters?

i would say that most of our best and most consitent old bird racers have performed a good average as youngters, nothing special but always in the middle of the pack.

not many have won as youngsters and gone onto win as yearlings 2yr etc

whats your findings?

our ritchie and white distance birds has done well as yearlings flying out to 250 miles
our vandabelles has done very well as youngsters flying 250 miles picking up a good few tickets as youngsters will put the r/w birds to 500 miles next year and the vandabelles out to 480 this is all the distance our vandabelles will go to r/w birds will be selected for france when there 3 year olds 726 miles might put a 2 year old hen to france but no cocks until there 3 year old
