| could members tell me what they are feeding their ybs on and how much per bird....? at the moment im feeding 75% vanroebys widowhood and 25% super diet, they are getting 1 oz per bird per day and are trapping straight away.........should i keep them on this for the racing season or alter it once training/racing starts ? |

Keep them the way they are as you are the boss and in control |

| over feeding ybs is a massive mistake believe me,it causes all sorts of problems,mine get a high protein mix mixed with a little best all round,then super widowhood when they start training |

| mine get the same feed as my widowhood cocks and ared flying and excercising well, you cant starve youngbirds |

thanks ray, i appreciate your advise..........but as im feeding 1 oz per bird im wonering if im over or under feeding them, altho an oz doesnt seem a lot to me. |

yes ian i agree, but if i feed too much they wont trap......as it is now they come in as soon as i call them, not like last year when they were pleasing themselves and sitting out all day. |

| what i do is feed them once per day too, when they trap, but i give them as much as they want i do not believe in measuring out for ybs they need all the help at the start they can get. closer to training they will have ounce and a half or so each |
