found a lost pigeon help plse

Hi I have found a lost pigeon in my garden frightened he is going to get killed by next doors cat, he is just walking about, number on ring is GB11 J17892 rings on both legs are orange colour plse help
Gilly , somerset plse hurry as i am worried he will get caught and i have nothing to put him in for safety

can you get hold of it and put it into abox and keep it safe ?

i havent got anything to keep it in i am just getting my husband to guard it at the minute ... have fed it some seed it seems hungry but it isnt flying and is very tame ...

give it water and some seed pick it up and chuck it up towards the roof so its off the ground so the cat carnt get it and ill have a luck for the number you need to ring

should say know nothing about these pigeons but did used to have a parrot but no longer have any of the boxes etc Sad

although its tame it was hard enough to catch to get the ring number as obviously its scared and i dont want to damage it ,. thats if i can catch it at all... we will guard it if you can look for the owner I might be able to borrow a box but will have to phone around ...how easy is it to find owner??

ring them i beleave thats the right number just say you found a lost pigeon and give them the ring number and they find the member it belongs to

Ok I have phoned them and they are closed but the message just says give food and water and they will fly away when rested but if they r still around after a day or two to call another number they give!!! durrrrr poor bird will be dead by then??? my neighbours cat is evil annd killed two beautiful doves in my garden recently ....I have now lured it into the greenhouse..given bird seed and water. best i can do i am afraid as i need to go out soon...so plse help anyone out there who knows how to find the owner

oh well 4 days on and he is still here Rolling Eyes

i have taken him off and let him free and guess what an hour or so later he is back here!!! think he is good at this!! just tootles around my garden??!!
