| i know when hens are brooding or getting ready to lay,the size of there droppings increase, but does breeding have any effect on male birds droppings,as i have noticed the last two days that two cock birds i have seem to have quite watery green droppings looks like a big green splat...one cock bird is sitting beside the hen most of the day in the nest box...the other cock is trying to entice a hen into a nest box, constantly displaying and then calling her from nest box. just wondering if this is normal with the droppings,or wether i should get them checked out.
thanks |

| have you changed corn recently ? sometimes this can make droppings loose........i dont necessaryly think the bird is ill, sometimes pigeons droppings do go loose without being ill, but i would keep my eye on it to see if it is hunched up or looking ill...........
any other thoughts anyone ? |

thanks dont think theres any thing to worry about but its not nice them having watery droppings especially for you cleaning out , you can get a product called protril for wet droppings but in my opinion it will just be a bit stress , sure this will correct its self when they are settled and sitting |

| i agree with ian birdlady, stress can cause it most of the time if not ill........are you giving them grit ? sometimes too much grit could make watery droppings ive found myself. |
