what grits minerals

what grit minerals do members feed and how do they feed them

i give matrix all year round sean, but during racing or breeding i add extra mink minerals....

i have used the matrix but at the moment i have gone back to mixing clay block white pickstone and a mixed grit with redstone and charcoal and oystershell and give minerals twice a week pink and black

im the same a bit each day no good leaveing it liying around

do members think that even if the loft is dry, black minerals go damp....?

i know like all minerals etc you dont put loads in the pot but does it go damp ?

That's almost my mix Darren. I only use redstone charcoal and oystershell mixed up with a touch of course salt.

go easy with salt or ya give um the shites

Only a touch mate. Too much cleans them out.

thought we used the bleach for that lol

twice a week i put a pot of dried seaweed in for the birds also

some lofts put one of them horse licks in they seem to have a little peck at it

The pink Course salt. Red cell has seaweed extract in it.

anyone use parishes food

i used to daz years ago meditech do it but its like piss we mixed it with cytocon

yes i got a tonic recipe here which is ....lugols iodine,parrishes food and cytacon b12 but have never used it as i use impact by gem which is very similar

i chemist near me used to order it but dont know if they still do ill ask cus its a good pic me up i love the stuff lol

what about bicarb and epsom salts.....?

I have used it in the past to clean the birds out. Especially if they was holding a bit of corn. But don't use owt like that any more.
