| I remember my Grandad feeding lettuce to his budgies, he said they get very little nutritional value from it but it kept them occupied. I give diced carrot to my race birds. |

| have tried lettuce/colli before rene, tied it to the roof and let it hang down for them to peck at, were never interested in it but have heard others doing the same and the birds pecking at it............. |

| yes, i wodered if it was because they hadnt been brought up on it maybe...? also heard of water which veg has been boiled it......anyone any thoughts ? |

| Can not beat greens with all the vitamins if they are good for us they are good for the pigeon
Also use cheese which i grated and added to the feed |

| I've known lots of fanciers in the past using water that has boiled veg, such as spring cabbage, spinach and stuff. I don't think it would do any harm at all as a lot of nutrients would go into the water. |
