PostSubject: returning members and new members to the forum   returning members and new members to the forum EmptySat Sep 15, 2012 2:32 pm

Nice to see many old members returning to the forum.
Some of these became a daily part of the forum and have been greatly missed by many of us.
But it's great to see them returning and rejoining our community.
They have added much humour to forum in their posts.
While others have made more informative posts.
Also it's pleasing to to see many of the recent new members joining in on a regular basis and deriving great benefit from the advice which has been given to them freely and there is no greater compliment to the forum, than watching some of these new members progress in the sport and some even having their best seasons after being guided by other members.
It's also been great to see new members given advice on loft construction and even gifted birds to get them started.
This is what the sport is all about, helping one another, bringing people together from all walks of life forming friendships and most of all keeping the sport of pigeon racing alive.
In my opinion there two things that cannot be purchased, one is friendship and another is a good pigeon gifted freely to another from ones own loft.

The young bird exchange is another good Idea of the forum and its a great compliment to each fancier involved to see another fancier doing well someone elses birds, well done to everyone who got involved.

Every credit to David for creating such a great site and forming such a wonderful community.

Like any community, there are sometimes disagreements and sometimes its just better to agree to disagree, rather than create bad feelings and try to divide the forum members through such pettiness, which would eventually create cliques and ultimately destroy the forum.
Its good to see the forum has managed to rise above such pettiness and instead of destroying the community it has strengthened it.

Like any forum, it's only as good as its members.
In my opinion we have the cream where it comes to membership, I don't think there is another site on the internet to rival this forum or its quality of members, especially their knowledge, skill and generosity.

Well done to you all making such a wonderful community.
There I have said it lol! lol!
Rant over...
