Eve don't take this funny mate but don't count the chickens before the end of the season just see how things go mate because sometimes pigeons can make you look the biggest fool mate

But fingers crossed hope all goes well for you mate

Sod that mate, hammer them training and race them hard. The good stuff will be there at the end of the season. I now it sounds harsh, but it separates the wheat from the chaf so to speak. So long as your birds are in top health and no respiratory conditions. They will always come home except for the bops, the odd wire or in our case at Cheltenham, the odd aircraft engines.
I have a theory on respiratory conditions and youngbird losses.
But it's in the book. study lol! lol!

Thanks for your replys i will be training my youngsters very well they will be trained to 50 miles and will be 2 up i will only train in bunches of 6 to 8 birds when starting them on the road as letting them all up at the same time could result in them hitting wires as you say or a smash some how and loose lots im here to learn and anythink you can tell me will be very helpful as where i live iv been told it very hard to win my club and the fed i dont no why but im going to try my best to prove them wrong

I can believe it is mate. But all the same, what an exciting location distance wise. Up North tremendous, across the channel perfect.
I'd have two teams, one cocks one hens.
I used to ride to Hastings and Eastbourne at weekends, many years ago. I had a girlfriend who lived in Hastings but worked at Asda in Eastbourne.
I always, thought about a pigeon loft there.
Best of luck mate, I wish you well.
