| If possible, spend a full year minimum with a good local fancier.
By visiting every day/helping out, then gain an understanding of what pigeons take in terms of time and money, the high and lows over 365days, 24/7, then decide if pigeons are for you. |

| Get the best birds you can aford, Dont over crowd your birds,Better to have a few good birds than a shed full of birds that will never do anygood,Dont keep any think that dont do any good Get the feeding right and motivation get help from a good fancier that wins a lot also make sure you have the time to look after them 365 days a year you must out anythink thats no good at the end of each season |

| As you can see from the replies Rick, no two fanciers do the same thing or have the same ideas. Always bear in mind there is no such thing as a sure fire winner or breeder of winners. Another thing to also bear in mind when you buy birds from a top fancier, you are only buying the birds, you are not buying the fancier. Just enjoy the hobby mate and don't let your expectations become to high, because this leads to disappointment and then you will become disheartened. Its all trial and error mate and success comes with time. Best of luck mate |

| dont rush in and buy birds or take gift birds just because there on offer in the hope of filling the amount of perches or boxes you have available before long youll end up with more prisoners than racers |
