I got loft burgled and have bought a new loft on allotments further down was wondering if I move the few pairs I have left have squabs about 4 to 8 days old will it be ok to move the whole lot I don't wanna be there I have a young bird aswell never been out that should be ok whats your thoughts advice

I think it will upset them imo but you may be lucky ...if your going to do it make sure the hen stays with the babies and nest bowl through the whole moving process and don't change the bowl or its contents and lock um in the new box for a few days with the babies but if it was me tony I would wait another 2 weeks atb m8

Had a pair of tumblers sitting eggs in another shed, need the shed empty and as they was the only pair to have gone down, thought sod it move them, moved the cock first and let him find a box he wanted, a couple of hours later moved the bowl and the hen into the box with the eggs in they sat straight away and now have two nice chicks, may have been lucky but I only had eggs to loose not young birds, good luck with what ever you decide

not sure yet probably just wait another pairs just laid today aswell its only couple of lofts along was going to try the cock claiming box thing aswell was going to try when its dark also club let is have it few more weeks so ok there
