dye pigeon under wings

Hi Peeps

Can anyone help me on how do i dye the under of the pigeons wings or if you know of video on youtube.

if you are referring to spots under the wings to avert a peregine or hawk attack then get a small spud cut in half and dip half into ink pad and then dab under wings atb

we get a lot of people out shooting fowl and rabbits etc so i got told to dye a few birds wings so the people can see there racing pigeons so they dont shoot them. i will try anything to try keep them a bit safer.

When I had White Pigeons---I use the DYE the the girls use to spray their hair to change colors for Special Ocassions.I sprayed under the wings. 3-4 different colors.

i use the dye mate all ya need is a sponge an a pair of rubber gloves sray some dye into a bottle then tip into the bowl but not to much as it dries very quick with the sponge just soak up a small amount and then put a dab on each wing and on the rump of the bird mate

I read an article years ago about some fancier living in the mountains, think it was spain. As you probably know in spain they do dye the pigeons various colours, however this man was a fancier and hadnt done it before. His pigeons were being attaked in the mountains so he dyed them, he found the hawks took the same amount of birds even dyed except for the pink ones.

Fanciers here in wales have been doing this here for years I knew a chap who would dye eyes on his mealies wings like a target orange and yellow outer with a black centre just like eyes, to try and put the perigrines off, not sure how it went as I didnt ask but he didnt loose the mealies.??

I have thought of doing it and I might try a couple this year, I would use food colours and not dyes, but I do know that some chaps down here used marker pens in verious colours.
