The biirds were liberated at 7-45 in a northerley wind with sunshine on the baskets they cleared immediately to the north, i reckon on around 7 hours to me, 303 miles, now we do the odd jobs and wait ? best of luck to all. EDGIE. cheers

thanks for that info, looks like the weather will get a little sticky top end of leicester,the last 40 mile wil be the worst, but i would have thought that they will have there heads down so to speak, cant see that bothering them?.

morning you guys, just for the record, i clocked 6 birds on the day all yearlings, still have 12 missing, but it is a better day, so should get some more to day, i clocked my first bird at 3-27 -17 pm flying 303 miles, this was a gift bird to me as a youngster, from my good freind bobby newbury of south wales, thankyou bobby, at the moment my provisional result in the national is 31 sec k around 480 open, thanks to all for your interest. thanks for your comments lads, at the moment i have12 from 18 home , 9 are yearlings, only thing is they are all 3rd round young birds born in july last year, as i had to put down all my y-birds twice last year, due to a virus. Basketball cheers

thats a good result edg its fact the weak win nothing ok maybe the odd one flukes it but in reality the good show up most of the time
and there was over 8000 i think yesterday so well done

yes mate now i have somthing to work with, my plan now is stand the yearlings down till next year, send the older birds on, plus i have a nice team of hens to get going, they will go to the old hens carentan, but i may send some of them to messac aswell, lets see how they will respond ?. cheers
