Will be starting to build a 12 x 8 loft in a couple of months time , getting finished from work in November so not looking for out till after christmas :-) so plenty of time to get things done. I was going to have two 6 x 6 sections,
With a two foot corridor , but now i`m thinking three 4 x 6 ft sections with a corridor , i don`t plan on having to many birds due to space ect but is a 4 x 6 section to small , there would be six boxes in first section with six pair of stock birds and then old birds and young birds in the other sections with the option to seperate cocks and hens ect. I could possibly go to 10 ft with the width but this would be tight , the base  is down already just need to move a shed off it down to the bottom of the garden.

Cheers andy.

agree with edgie, 3 @ 6 x 4 is ample as long as youve not too many in each section.........and a corridor like you are doing is a must in my opinion, no getting soaked during the winter cheers
