Which breeds

Just been looking at pigeons for sale on preloved. Lots  of different breeds    I want some fancy ones   , BUT I want to start with the white  racing pigeons. there is so many breeds which ones are best for homing.  
They wont be expected to travel far. They are to get the kids    interested and we were going to do a bit of dove release for funerels at the nearby cemetery.
So the dont have to be fast. I have seen a lot of doves advertised. I know I dont want the fantail cos they cant fly very well   . (will be getting them eventually to look pretty in the avairy).
So what breeds would you suggest and what price should i expect to pay. 

hi mate white racers are perfect for dove release

if u just breed them and use hens as they tend to be smaller and look more doveish than some of the cocks

i have a number for a guy who only breeds whites and to be fair we have raced a few and they always raced ok

i,ve just gave a load of whites away,but i can breed you some if you want .i have a pair of grissels that breed whites most of the time..let me know
