is it too much to race a yb every week throughout the full yb program...? or should you give them alternate races off and race two teams alternate weeks....?

The only thing I would say is as long as they have plenty of food in front of them at all times then you can race them everyweek But you have to get the balance right with having plenty of food pigeons can get fat and gorge on food which can bring sickness But as long as you can give them plenty as they are developing then things should be fine For me the biggest thing with young bird racing there is big money at stake but its to easy to race youngsters to the food can just to get prizes come the following season your bottom of the sheet and a lot of fanciers blame the birds I ask this question whats best one year getting prizes or 3,4,5 ect years wining prizes with the same pigeons

as you all know i have long distance birds, for the first time in several years i have raced a couple of races, and paid the price loosing some ?, i dont think i will bother again, i feel they are better private trained, no y/b sickness, no vaccinations to bother about, just let them enjoy life, i am convinced they give better results when they have got some sence ,and a stronger reason to get home as yearlings, i.e a mate ?. i know sprint men cant wait that long, so each to there own.
