Our 4th race today from Tewkesbury again another combine race we sent 10, cocks and 6, hens we were libbed @9.15 so I thought 2hr,30 just before the eta it chucked it down and the sky were black so I thought we ain't gonna get anything in this and we were right we ended up 14th and got 3,cocks missing not a good day for us but onwards and upwards so they say Lol.

It wasn't too bad David gave it a light feed of diet that wot we give them 1st when they come back then the main feed later.

Funny thing that feeding bit when they come back from a race etc V/R/man I've seen top flyers just give them there normal hoppers etc to eat what they choose/like & others will not give them anything for an hour or so. Strange situation & I take it all for what it is type of thing. Thou it's a pity we don't have talking pigeons as we could find out what actually is best for them in their view .

We never feed our birds straight after a race.just my opinion but I would think you would have to let the birds insides settle first before pumping corn or what ever into them
