Races cancelled

Both our races cancelled this weekend. The channel one and the open one..so I will have to go and see the inlaws I suppose.something to look forward to then lol

sorry to hear that ray our lot have decided on Portland every week without even asking members we are sending 5 hens but it our last season racing south we are reverting back to north road racing had enough of bad liberations

Our races will be Sat shipping for Sunday race. Very bad weather forecast.

It's been a funny season. Things is our birds are jumping and we want them to continue the way we left off.nevermind

Yes, need to keep the momentum going. I trained 28 young birds today. 1st time. About time they were on the road. Some of them anyway. Intended a 12 miler but ended up at 6 miles as the wind was strong. January hatched growing their 8th flight so should be through the moult come race time. August. Short daylight hours in Winter. Other young I left at home, some just 1 flight out.

Same, same here Hal 1st race in my old Fed etc put back a day today here sadly. The chook farmers down the bottom didn't like the thought of the wind on the nose for them & didn't wish to give the blokes up the top end an even chance. All 's thou tomorrow for them the wind turns around     & it's up their back side & so they all will be as happy as Larry .

28 at least you couldn't loose       106 etc like one of our gun flyers ????? down here Hal .

Remember O/S I know nothing etc . So when you say South there  is South, really South as such & will you have to move to a differant shipping container     to basket your birds on race day.

north really is north oz no shipping container the north road club has pride of place and a barn to basket the birds in

Wild night out on the town with apple juice etc it appears . But then one shouldn't expect anything else from a bunch of 's .

our birds went up from Portland at 12.30

Thunderstorms here. Tomorrow, race day, clear but with 50kph winds. Headwinds. Extra peanuts for them this morning!
Thought Portland was home to lots of raptors?

yes it is hal that's why I am pulling out of the club and racing ybs north route instead of south theirs 7 races on the cards for portland this yb season

Our birds have been moved from exeter to kingsdown up at 1.45

Bad race David no birds back some good birds made it home .lots of pigeon men never clocked . This week coming will be. My last old bird race .it's a come back race,140mls I will send 7hens 1 cock these hens haven't raced yet.c what happens
