| peanuts , homoform, aniseed , redband, conditioning seed, what do you use a part from your usual corn mix |

| I use homoform everyday plus peanuts for the stock and racers, not youngsters until the are training, and I make my own small seed treats like redband. thats it. |

| sun flower hearts , there better than peanuts pigeons love them just as much as peanuts . |

ive just recently stated the obs with peanuts mick but to be honest they are not as bothered about them as i thought they would be by what others have told me..........not saying they dont like them but they dont go mad for them.... |

| Yes Ian that is correct, they place the nuts in a food blender and add them to the mixture
As time goes on just make the nuts small then have some in your loft coat and play with the young birds just as they am ready for there feed give them some of the smaller nuts from your coat, doing this they get the taste of the nuts and they come round you for more which helps keep them tame |

| ive tried giving them peanuts and most of the birds dont eat them.do you need to break them up?it sounds a good idea for me to get the horseman youngsters tame.i also give them a bit of hemp seed. |

hi geordiejen, ive been giving mine peanuts for a while now and ive found that with some of them it takes quite a while for them to get used to them........when i first started i broke them up smaller and they eventually started taking them, once they got used to this i started giving them whole and they do eat them even tho` they seem a bit big........not all of my birds have took to them and show very little interest in them, but others have become tamer and look for them when i go into the loft. soon ill be trying my ybs on them as i think this will help to build confidence with bird and fancier and help with trapping etc....... |
