how many this year

how many are ya breeding this year ...we are pushing the boat out this year and going for 30....an extra 10 on top of last few seasons

ive ardered 80 rings Darren, normally get 40 so I have some as a back up, you never know when a few might hatch out un expectidly........but this year I`m going for 80 rings, 30 to race my self hopefully,26 going to other fanciers and some in case I sell again on elimar.

yep, remember when I lost them the other year.....40 rings, searched the house for them and presumed I`d thrown them away by mistake.....ended up finding them after the breeding season behind the clock on the fireplace

Ordered 40 but to be honest won't need that many, but I do like to keep some back for late breeds if I like what they frown in the main breeding time

Not really bothered about YB racing dave as usually when I get to the end of the old bird program I've had enough I've only raced 5 YB races in the last 3 seasons

40 bands ordered. 10 young to another guy, he keeps tipplers. Probably will not use 30, maybe 20. 12 pairs stock. Put them together Dec 2nd. Some eggs today.

I have ordered 80 rings, but with the possibility for getting 20 more, if I need them.

We have a problem at the moment with a couple of our younger hens turning into Cocks - if you know what I mean.

Right now that is upsetting my breeding plans, I don't know what I can do about it.

On paper, we have some amazing breeding birds, whether they will produce anything of nay quality, who knows, but the potential is there at least.

We will have to see.

Always a problem Phil. However, I always found it best to leave as is. Open boxes, each pick there own. The extra cocks just make the other pairs more protective. You can always put eggs under two cocks that mate etc,. Not good for pedigrees but never had much faith in paper matings.
Would be excellent to race them with extra cocks around. Motivation. JMO.

Combination of factors played there part in that scenaro Redrog but hopefully back on track now etc .
