| its a ceramic heating plate just plugs into ordinary socket a bit like the underfloor heating in effect but gets a lot warmer just for use on race return or very damp weather over a period of time may even use it later part of the week in the early races thanks for posting pics for me david |

Phil 425 watt phil not really sure long term it wont be in use frequently only early season towards end of the week or when I feel the atmosphere in the loft is damp after a prolonged period of damp weather I would say no more expensive than the oil heaters its not something I have experimented with yet I am installing a kitchen at home at present and been quite busy but will have a experiment next week when I have made the cover for it ...atb |

A credit to the pirate pair I would say Ray. Just wonder how the bloom/dust from the birds etc will effect them & if any changes to the ventilation will be required there. At the end of the day "wink, wink" well worth a punt type of thing in your cold climate I suspect. Cheers. |

| Hi Guys - and Darren This is what I have found out about electricity consumption and costs. Darren see below. 425 watts used for ONE hours will cost around 6.53 pence per hour. Information from:- https://www.sust-it.net/energy-calculator.phpNot so bad if used wisely. Somewhere I have two round loft heaters, each around 4 foot long - maybe I will hunt them out. Could be helpful. Phil |
