Young Birds and Maize

I am doing a bit of research into who feeds MAIZE to their Young Birds.

Can you ALL please give me your opinion on what you feel about giving young birds (NOT racing) maize in their diet.

Just a simple - Yes I would give maize to young birds

OR

NO I would not - will do. But if you would like to expand on why you would or wouldn't give maize to young birds, that would be great also.

This might be an opportunity for our new members to get involved as well.

not racing as in "pre-racing" or not racing at all that season...?

just weaned high protein, probably no maize, for racing training yes would give maize.

allways from the day they hatch not too much though not a widow mix at present but a element of maize I figure they will get it on the transporter in a holdover etc...and adds to a balanced diet of carbs,protein and fats
