| hi denise, which bird was it that died, one you bought off the man or one of your own...? yes its fanciers like that that give pigeon keeping a bad name, it happens more often than we think.......ive known of fanciers buying top bloodlines of racers , only to have them ill upon arrival , thankfully they were sorted and back to full health, but unfortunately that's not always the case. lets hope yours are out of danger now denise, and thrive from now on........ |

| its very hard to pass judgement and be 100% on a few sentences and no visual evidence as so many pigeon diseases mimic others but I have read through the topic and it states earlier in the topic you had birds twisting their necks and that points to pmv or salmonella/paratyphoid lets hope it was the former, sometimes birds get very ill in a new environment shortly after getting there due to new bacteria in the new loft or stress seems to bring on ailments that have been underlying so always best to quarantine and don't think the big boys wont send dodgey birds out because they do and heres 2 for you "Louella" and "red star lofts (alun jones) "a lot out there will take yer money and run |
