Year ago. Mink larder in loft.

must be heartbreaking to go to the loft and see this................

Gotta suck. I see cat tracks around the loft this morning. thought I had the place cleaned up.

Aye. I will handle the security risk this very evening. I have no more than a half inch gap anywhere on my loft and aviarys. Only a bear should be able to make a hit on the loft.

I know I have foxes around my loft, I can smell them quite often, but fortunately until now they have never managed to get into the loft, my dog on the other hand has, and killed a few pigeons.......

If you want to have fun with the foxes, try placing an old crate about 12 to 15 inches high near your loft. The fox love to crap on top of things. You'll know when they have come by that way! Take away the scat, and it will make them mad!

was surprised first time I saw a fox jump, they jump like a cat, straight over a 4ft hedge........

The pic above. It was after I live trapped the mink. Bottom two feet under the nest boxes I had blocked off. Did not want them nesting there. The mink had come up thru the floor and used the space to store food. Pulled all the boarding off when I saw a hole with a pigeon halfway in. The mink could not get it in before I disturbed it.  4 live traps out there now. Spring means critters. Quick tally last few years. About 8 cats. 5 coons. 2 skunks. 7 Opposums. Two weasels. 1 mink. Season will start again soon. Weasels are the hardest to catch. I have to  dangle bait inside the trap so they have to pull on it. Puts pressure on the plate. Springs it. Too light to spring it otherwise.

see one most night from my bedroom window trying to get the fatballs out for the birds.
my dog senses it most night/mornings 2/4am....

my dog is like that, she knows when there`s a hedge hog in the garden, how she knows i`ve no idea......

once saw a rat and a hedgehog have a fight.....

I like hedge hogs, hate rats tho`..........

True David the man never sleeps etc I suggest. His other half is sound asleep in bed there & he is there playing with his little toy talking absolute waffle/sh*te all through the night    .

Not a big fan of those things. I've had a few grab a fish on my line from time to time. (When I lived in the south). The Browns are fun to watch in the wind though
