it certainly was mate i know three of the members that sent aint seen a feather and im one of them the birds looked and felt brilliant they were execising realy well flyin for an hour at a time well trained still aint come ome im well gutted mate

It was a bad one, birds only doing 660 per min I dropt 3 out of my 8 not good for the first race

read where rene said it was over cast, was it raining......? did they have to come through the rain if so......?

No it wasnt raining it was overcast and cold, it wasnt good for the birds first
race, I sepose or the way I looked at it I had 3 on the day the others should have
come as well

just learning about racing and velocities ginger, but 660 seems very slow and hard......?

it was slow 660, about 20 mls an hour not good, last year i timed 2 hours from 120
mls whot whear up against is the 60 mls of water

thats what i call a hard race

what sort of condition were the birds in when they got home ginger.....? was the first one any better than the others or all the same?

They werent in bad condistion I let my birds out after and they came out with the others i would hope they are alright they are distance birds

ah right, so it didnt take too much out of them then..........will they be going next week?

No they wont go next as I have other birds I have to get across I like to get them to have two short tosses befor they they go 300 and over

hopefully youll get a good one again this week then ginger, let us know wont you............

I will let no what the result is as I no at the moment its sunday I hope its better than last week I would soonner be last and have all my birds home than be 1st and lose a lot of birds if you get them home you have them later on, this I class as a training for the longer races

yes i understand what your saying ginger, i was thinking from my own point of view wanting to do well in the shorter races as i wont be interested in distance for quite some time yet...... is distance what youre mainly competing in, or do you have shorter distance breeds of birds?

hi rene, dont want to appear totally thick, but is there only one club on gurnsey or more........and do you race in the same one as ginger.....?

Distance is what I like, we race about 70 to 609 Barcelona with others in between but like the longer ones I dont keep shorter distance there is more in geting a distance bird ready than shorter

there two over here im only in the 1 ginge is in both the program is the same more or less
