| I’m at Perth 371 miles with the London Combine, we were supposed to basket tonight but it’s been moved back a day so basketing tomorrow night for a Sunday race now. Good luck everyone sending this weekend. |

| thanks oz yeah difficult with a small team but at least he will be ok he had 8 races this season first bird 4 occasions and scored in his last race so will put him away for a deserved rest now we only started the race programme with 8 birds ,it is what it is I suppose |

| The sad fact is oldstrain that it is almost impossible now to compete with a small team.
There are numerous difficulties now facing our feathered friends that make it almost impossible to go through a season and be able to enter every race with a small team.
If the raptors do not get them then the weather and other matters may and whilst a large team can survive with enough to compete the loss of just a couple could ruin the small fanciers season and in particular if they were the ones for a special race etc;
If you get through the season and win a few cards you will have done better than some with far more birds.
Good LUck.
Regards..

| I am downsizing drastically for next year. Up to me to pick the racers and stock. Consistent birds and breeders of consistent birds stay. Thankless task culling but has to be done in my circumstances. Lofts will be pulled down, as they are old. Enough loft space one is always tempted to keep a few more. There are some races I want to do good in. The longer ones. I cannot really compete with the overfly I have in sprint racers. So. With a small team have to pick the races to send to early in the season. Tune-ups. Had to miss the 200 and 250 milers today. Family emergency. I am glad I did!! They were let go in clear weather and at the 180 mark hit rain and thunderstorms. Do not know how any flier made out. Not interested. 320 and a 400 miler next weekend. Will ship to both. Last OB race for me. Then selection starts. |
