Not here snow type conditions etc. Had to go & pick a stray up, up in the hills here Bloke said when I arrived. Houstan, we appear to have a problem some what. My brother took the birds for a 50 odd mile toss & yours is out there with them sadly As the hail & rain pelted down all around us . Hour later there I'm thinking bad things but then all was forgiven as they appeared out of the gloom as such. End of the day most of the talk was about our disaster of a race yesterday unfortunately, with one of the brothers not seeing a pigeon on the day out of his team & the other brother kindly offering to throw those that made the decision to liberate our birds off a very high cliff to help relieve his pain .

The whole weather system has gone mad, if you heard of one great flood causing destruction beyond belief once in a blue moon it would be news for months, now it is a shock when putting the news on if there is not some natural disaster of one kind or another, world wide.

This year we have had more sunshine and temperatures far higher than normal and for many weeks, one would think ideal racing weather.

But fanciers have experienced some very worrying losses and poor races

But I am afraid nature can kick you where it hurts most.

Example, weeks of good weather,, concert last night featuring Britney Spears, sold out, everyone in their seats, rain starts, and she was not even singing, Singing in the Rain

Think blanket of grey. I have not seen a single bird in the air yet, Indeed I am looking out the window still on P.c.
Not even a cat about. We are surrounded galore by them too. Even see them on the roof tops of the houses opposite after the feral pigeons. Nary a one. Must be a ;Still of the night', Glad I'm not racing... mine wouldn't even have been out for that matter. Indeed they would have stayed in the loft and not the aviary.

Cold, Bleak & utterly miserable down here today unfortunately. Strange thing is thou after our disaster of a race with a wind up their backside from 300 odd miles as mentioned. Another local Fed raced today here from the same distance & had many clocks presented with the top velocity of around 950 odd mpm with the wind right in their face for the full 300/350 odd miles. Now     pigeons       interstate Fed, 300 miles today. Winning pigeon 4 hrs 12 minutes, 2399mpm     & the last clock presented on the day there       was over 5 hours behind the winner        .  

Not bad now but rained lastnight.
