| where is it ill go and buy 20 bags.... the corn im using at the moment is only cheap stuff and it was 10.50 a bag, with me not racing till next year ill wait until i race and then feed on better quality corn......last year i fed on beyers and it was about 12.50 ish and it was decent stuff. ps didnt buy the cheap corn to save 2 pound, its because they only had the cheepo stuff for some reason...... |

| The only thing i would say about the cost of corn it is not how much it is it's the quality that counts
You can buy good quality corn direct from the farms sometimes a third cheaper |

| Good corn with the right amount of protein, and fibre combination, would be right, corn should be clean and free from moist. |

| if fanciers use different feeds for the ybs and obs they would need a few different bags wouldnt they ?if you were feeding the cocks on widowhood mix could you give this to the ybs then ? also been thinking, if flying on the darkness system... when they come off before yb racing starts could the young cocks be put on to the widowhood system ? they could be paired to the old hens and race this way while the young hens could race to the perch.... any thoughts ? |

| i know a few members who split there youngbirds cocks and hens then put them together before basketing i guess its the same as widowhood but time consuming as you have to train and exercise them seperately |

| For me the young birds are maturing so the corn for the old birds is of a good quality and produced for hard racing short and long distance |

| To feed carbs it is really up to the fancier, you can feed protein but they still need carbs for flying |

| Most long distance fanciers feed maize and peanuts which help provide the carbs and fats needed for them long miles |
