we are racing Monday again at least they are thinking of the welfare of the birds ...we race from Coventry ,any other members racing ybs ,good luck to all members racing

Welfare of the pigeons different people can read that to read many different things I suggest O/S in this caper of ours etc at times. End of the day I'm glad they have decided to race on Monday there if the weather is more kind for the birds & fanciers on average. Now got another card as such here yesterday But crazy type system we have here O/S with our club races. Example Put a team of XX cocks in our race for an interest factor only & a team of XXX hens as trainers as such, which were all let go together. Now like to guess who my first 3 birds home were before I finished up clocking a cock as such .

Haven't had mine in the basket yet was going to start them this week but the forecast is rain every morning except on Monday

missed first race and cancelled yesterday so probably gonna have to jump em a bit f------ hate y/b raceing

The Worcester fed liberated at 15.00 yesterday at from saw birds coming over around 17.00 ish don't no how the returns was

sods law oz eh at least they came well ,yes Monday is by far better a day to race ,the whole organisation is on ets apart from our club where they wont have it but in any case nearly all members are retired so will be home to see the birds arrive

Would be interesting to know how the returns from Worcester were with the late liberation maybe fooling the raptors.

we sent 19 for tomorrows race a few members got problems with the ybs only 7 members sent ,is what it is

Now O/S that's around 500 less etc than a certain chook farmer sent to our race last week here & surprise, surprise he was no where to be seen in our race on Saturday here for some strange reason .

we went at 7am sun on the baskets and headwind of about 10mph should be here around 9am 83 miles

poor returns again at the club 13/19 here and we were 2nd 3rd 4th 5th club very disappointed with the returns but yer damned if you do or don't it seems ,good conditions today they should have faired well...hopefully a few more will turn in ...the brother to our 2 test loft hens was 3rd club today and he was bred very late and left the nest end of may

Cannot grumble at that oldstrain, no one knows the problems present day pigeons face, we can only guess.


Would be idea if only the poorest pigeons were lost as young birds but facts prove otherwise.


If every fancier lost very few pigeons it would create a worse situation than losing a reasonable number and if those lost were the least desirable, it does not work like that though.


Today many pigeons are lost in what one could call reasonable or ideal conditions
year after year and all fanciers do is moan, there is no attempt to work out the reason.


Many fanciers have health problems with their pigeons, instead of finding out why, they treat, treat, treat, not understanding that prevention is better than a cure and ALL medication has side effects, some worse than the original complaint.


But then the commercial boys must be kept in clover.

another great result there darren, 1234 last week now 234 and 5 this week.......thats some good racing,
