| Did the same David. But I maintain the best idea and phrase regards nesting was have shelves, along the walls facing each other Just a passage for you to walk in. Jus 2 x2 or 3x2 bits of wood separating the bowls with a half a house brick - or wooden block - aside the nest bowl. Natural pecking order and visual sighting of others whilst protecting their corner. |

| There was a very good fancier and national winner in Derbyshire. He had 12 pairs of racers, but excelled.
Loosely explain here, but he had 12 nest boxes in a circle in the garden. When a cock birds took off, all cock birds took off. One landing meant others quickly followed suit. Likewise the hens. Met a lot of up and clapping in short spurts and circles. Yes the protection of their territory was certainly enhanced. Gosh I bet the kept a wary eye on each other when basketing for the races.. |

yes they are pretty expensive what what they are, I know doing mine my self worked out quite a lot cheaper.....end of the day its only nailing / screwing them together whenever you get a bit of spare time.........the ones ive bought new in the past have always come flatpack which i had to build up anyway . second hand is easier tho` like you say . |

| Talk about doing it ones self. I often relate in regards V. perches. Was being touted at £2;30 each. I bought some plywood sheets … asked the man at Gibbs and dandy if he could cut 1and a half square baton at appropriate angle. We agreed no hurry! All I had to do was tap the plywood into the wood baton - all cut to size. dead easy. Made 230 for £54! Likewise all these so called health aids .. just buy at the supermarkets. |
