| Flown tomorrow as weather pretty bad today. Frost tonight. 250 miler. Holiday tomorrow. Thanksgiving. Two day holiday. Came to Canada from the US on this day about 50 years ago. Thanksgiving is usually roasted turkey. Family get together. I did not want it here this year with all the family and kids and ggrandhildren etc,. Last year 35 showed up!! Have two daughters coming, few kids. One with her husband other daughter with her boyfriend. Her boyfriend is a tool and die maker. Used to grow pot years ago. The buds here are drying out very well. He can test them! Have the cig papers. Apparently if one snips off the top of the growing plant it will branch out and produce more buds. I tried pot in Jamaica. 1956 was 16. Tried once or twice years ago but not the same stuff. Soybeans are getting harvested now and corn soon. Pigeons are looking great. But have to be careful. My mistake and ended up with one or two that did not race that well. But they are out of racers that performed so..see what happens. As for the birds in the auction, what can I say? They excelled. The breeder must feel proud!! Knew a fellow years ago, used to fly against him. He died, suicide. However looking at the Fed results today from a 350 mile race week ago see his son entered 3 and clocked 2 together. In the first 25 Fed birds. Good flying! Will contact him. He is way North of here. If he wants will give him some young. Idea is to try the young from different locations. More for my benefit but culls down the breeders. |

| We have a real problem with hard drugs Hal.
Papers this weekend, London has a One Billion a year hard drug problem maintained by the idle upper class idiots holding drug parties not bothered where the drugs come from as long as they can get them.
The drug runners are using kids to transport drugs over the borders and not a day goes by without some kid is stabbed, drug related, several killed recently.
The amount involved suggests thousands are now drug dependant and used as runners to get their supply of drugs.
Would not in the least be surprised if half or more of the idiots in Government were up to their necks in it, the way they are behaving suggests so.
Regards. |

| David. Did not fly young this year. Shoulder problems. However keep track as I will fly next year. All race birds etc given away. 17 pair for stock. I will race some young, other guy also some of mine. Mostly the 'snowflakes'. White ones. Yesterday was a headwind. Strong. Previous races were for the most part blowhomes. |

| Yes. 8 white hens. Some grizzling on some of them. Red grizzles and red chexcks and mealies. Think maybe 3 bc. Reds are the TMak jannsens originally. Kept them close. Some the fathers of the whites. 9 cocks in one loft, reds etc,. 8 pair of reds and blues in another loft. White hens will be in their. 7. The original AU hen will go back to its red mate. |

| Regarding soybeans. Never use them. Too much confliting data. Never seen the wild pigeons eat them either, but maybe they do? |

| A rare mixture Hal.
Never bothered about colour myself although most of mine were cheq pieds.
Look in good nick.
The fewer kept the more attention can be given to each.
Hope all goes well, we oldies need a bit of luck one way or another in particular relative to health.
Regards. |

| Yes Oldstrain. From Tom Maks. Oude Vos etc,. Whites are from an American hen. Came as a young bird. Oil on it. US was having hurricanes at that time. Could not locate the owner. Cleaned her up gave her away. 80 miles she came back. Just loft flying. Crossed with a red as a yearling. Her first white youngster was 1st back to the loft By herself. 150 mile race. 3rd club. So figured she was worth breeding off. All the other whites are off her or her daughters. Will be interesting! Howling winds, rain, some snow gets in the lofts but never have problems. Fresh air. http://www.tmakowecki.com/Phistory.shtml |

| Yes Darren. I am pretty sure they are smart. Change of plan now for breeding. The 8 white hens go back to the stock loft. Plus one red hen. Have 9 red or mealy or red pied cocks in there. Going to be a colourful collection! I was thinking of hybrid vigour but some families are close bred and succeed. So will do that. Friend of mine same club, 40 miles shorter than me will fly some for me. Comparison. |
