Bit early here I suggest maybe   & taking the age factor into consideration that some of us have, sadly .

That's me etc old grumpy Scrooge even told the missus off yesterday David for running the sprinkler hose all day for the native birds here in the 44C type heat in the back yard. Told her don't you know, gold is cheaper as such than what we pay for our water & every drop is required to fight our bush fires. End of the day thou & as normal once again I'm she won the battle & I will just have too foot/pay the extra on the bill some how when it comes in, unfortunately .

A drop if only etc David I spent all day here just watching the water meter tick over as such & doing a mathematical calculation . End of the day old scrooge here        was just about ready to ring his bank manager       for a large loan .

1 Xmas dinner today here. Then another next Sunday here. Last year there were 38 people here for Xmas. Too many! Breed like flies!!
Not looking forward to either weekend. Not a Xmas beleiver.

Not a believer in Christmas myself Hal, but must be nice to have all the clan together.

Just keep an eye on your intake, moderation in all things, well most.

Just think pigeons regarding amounts and what is expected of them.

Same, same here Mark Will just let thou I suggest     the scrooge brigade type mob here enjoy xmas in their own way etc. End of the day it's more a kids thing I suggest, but that shouldn't stop all enjoying the moment & maybe be thankful for what one may have type of thing. Now any one who thinks I may be wrong with my thoughts/waffle. We have just over 900 odd houses now burnt out down here recently for xmas with the bush fires & many of them will not have basic house insurance to cover their loss unfortunately, going on past experiences etc here.

Bad news the bush fires can't imagine what those people are going through hope your place will be safe oz just hope they get it under control and no body else gets hurt

Aussie sent firefighters here last year to help out. We have 60 Canadian firefighters sent back to help them this week. What goes around comes around.
Read that in the past the Bushmen slow burned the forest floor winter time to stop big fires. Smouldering floor.

True learnt it from the black fella types etc Hal Modern day greenie types here suggest they knew absolutely nothing as such & they know how best to manage the environment now. Trouble is thou you have a bunch of do gooder types, who have been around for the odd 50 years & those that have been here for 65,000 years. End of the day thou all help is most appreciated here by the local flock, with the likes of your wonderful fire fighters to help bring things under control in a fire sense.

They wouldn't be living on top off a mountain type of thing etc Misty would they & saying MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM didn't see that coming as such "5ft water"       & a wee/small mis-calculation with our way of thinking was the order of the day & a rethink some how may just be required, maybe to help keep the donations rolling in    .
