Loft Progress so Far ...

had a day on the loft build yesterday, my mate wasnt working so he called round for a few hours...........more to do but its come on since last pictures .

well done david getting there eh ,nice job too

looks a bit rough at the moment darren, the shell went up around 18 months ago without a roof on ......hence the need for a new floor.

a lick of paint when its all up should make it look a lot tidier ..........its faded, wet and covered in mud at the moment

Still a smart looking loft Dave nice to see it when its completed and birds all in carry on the good work

Going along nicely David hope weather stays reasonable so you can get it finished soon.

Would not have missed the orange box and bent nails straightening sagas in my youth though and never a complaint as to housing from the pigeons.

yes i remember building my first loft around 15 years old misty, old council house doors, second hand wire and old bent nails found where someone had been having a bonfire ..........

That's the part that really worries me I'm David Maybe our Ray is just a typical Geordie type etc . End of the day thou I suggest maybe it matters little as such when we all bleed.

Not only did he build it in front of his garage etc Don apparently his brick piers there would stand the weight of a tank type of thing I suspect . Over kill   by our standards down here.

yes don, put it in front of the garage ...........we have 2 cars but neither go in the garage, the door folds as it opens, so the loft wont stop it opening if i ever need to get a large object into the garage, in fact with it being a double door/garage i may still be able to squeeze a car past the loft if need be.

i have a side door on the garage anyway for normal in and out .....

reason i put the loft there is because of damage limitation, i recently turfed the garden so didnt want to damage it, plus give r*ts a nice dark place to nest etc .....with it being on flags they have no place to burrow under the loft, plus they wont like the loft being high off the floor, which enables my dog to get under if need be .

also if i ever pack in with pigeons, its a simple matter of taking the loft down, and sweeping up, no damage done .........

thanks , hope to be doing more this week, got wood being delivered tomorrow for the partition and new box perches .......also new roof lats .

With the Trump scenario David, maybe a few sand bags etc; may be appropriate.

I think there is much truth with regard to Israel David.

The Bible indicates Israel will be greatly involved in the latter days, Nations rising against.

Iran has said it wants to obliterate Israel.

Will be interesting to see how things go.

Those presently backing Israel must have a reason, but will soon turn against.
