| Agree oldstrain some cannot possibly fly natural, and one can only fit the sport into ones circumstances.
If you enjoy the way you deal with the sport and that is the best way for you then no one can argue it is wrong under the circumstances.
Think the best way is to make the best of what is left and enjoy whilst you can.
I do not doubt that all fanciers love their pigeons irrespective of what method of racing they use I just have a different view than many regarding how I would like to be treated were I a pigeon.
Regards.

| Misty you took some words out of my mouth. First races in Canada I was in a club that banned me when I moved to a farm 5 miles south of the town. Unfair advantage. I joined another club. Not a good location according to some. The guy who ran the club came from Hungary, 1956 uprising. Karl von Gardony. Flew natural (nest) if that is natural. Extremely hard to beat. Same Fed as I am in now. Many, many widowhood fliers. Topped the Fed often. He knew every bird he owned extremely well. First time I beat him he read my clock slammed it down and walked out. That was a 500 mile race. Now some can fly birds to the nest with a natural instinct. Perhaps. Others not so much yet good at regime of widowhood. Excellent at it. If I had not won much flying to the nest I would have changed to widowhood. Without a doubt. However, I was happy the way things were so left well enough alone. Yes, each to their own. |

| FRIDAY UPDATE July 17th, 2020 Good Evening
Well what a slog its been for them today and a 100 are still slogging lets hope they keep digging deep.
They were released together and cleared very well but they headed west rather than South , i watched them as far as the eye could see waiting to see if i could see them come back to the line but no i sort of knew then its going to be a long day.
I arrived back at the lofts to see only 70 had arrived which i can tell you its not a nice feeling all round.
After waiting for a life time i could see a big batch racing towards the lofts smack online from the North that continued for the next few hours so eventually they must of dog legged back to the line as most were arriving online but they certainy have done more than 14 miles.
All we can hope is that more will dig deep we shall then recoup them and back at it with training.
Any that arrive tomorrow will be sectioned off and miss the next trainer possibly Sunday.
I will leave benzing live on until Saturday night.
I will update Sunday evening with the latest.

| Still beats me the training regime.
How many have been lost from these short tosses?.
Posted earlier a fancier, one of the best distance fanciers first toss for young birds 70 miles.

| Made reply David before second of your posts.
Fanciers whose pigeons are lost from these stupid distances should be going hairless never known such stupidity.
Beyond belief.

| Not the health of the birds that is the problem David it is putting them in danger by taking them a distance from which they will be able to actually see their loft and yet they take hours to get back, if they get back.
It would be hard to lose a townie from those distances, cannot see the sense nor reason in doing so.

| SUNDAY UPDATE July 19th, 2020 Good Evening
The birds went to the 17 mile point today , we left 50 that took a night out on the 14 mile trainer so these won’t show on the timing today as they will be back training on Tuesday.
Any that arrived after 13:50 today will miss tomorrows training then any not stressed will be back training on Tuesday also.
These rested and ready for Tuesday will be run over the pads tomorrow after the main batches are back.
Tomorrow looks good weather again with a light NNW being forecast we will be at the 20 mile point tomorrow all being well.
Will update tomorrow evening.

| TUESDAY UPDATE July 21st, 2020 Good Evening
Today’s training they all cleared within 5 minutes but falcon was on them two strikes but missed both occasions this is why birds work in late all afternoon stroke evening either hiding out or gone off line and this is only at the start.
Any after 13.10 today won’t go tomorrow.
We will be training from the 22 mile point tomorrow all being well this lib point is also further over to the NE.
Any late from yesterday and today will join the team back tomorrow after the main batches are back.
Thursday they will all have a day off relax with baths down as the weather looks a bit iffy.
Friday back training.
Will update tomorrow evening.
