| After all the training tosses and overcomming them the returns at this time are poor to say the least, even if there was a problem along te way.
At least we have one home and dry and no duobt the other will turn up, think not enought time is given those that have a bad time from training to fully recover.
Regards.

| Maybe just loft Finesse. Sent and allow the program, short as it is, Yep leave it to it. likewise the youngsters. they know where they are ... You can't teach them anything, so just send them rotating each week and plenty of rest. Results will be every bit as good I'd wager. If they want home, they will come. Maybe any unforeseen circumstance may out lay them. but home they will. Plus garnering an experience head. J.M.O. |

| Good news oldstrain, never had any doubt realy, as I said previosly should not have had any more training tosses after having nights out, the amount they have had is ample and could do more harm than good.
Shoud now have rest the later arrivals deserve the time to fully recover.
50% left , bet the majority have less.
Regards. |

| Yes, brought this matter up several times, never got an answer.
The pigeons must be transfered to other than the fancier/fanciers involved who must be responsible for any reported stray.
My question was, what happens to reported pigeon when reported ? there must be many enter other fanciers lofts.
Even if they are reconisable from being from a OLR and fanciers fancy keeping them and not reporting them, there must be many fanciers who would report them.
My question has always been, WHAT HAPPENS TO THEM ?.
Regards. |

| if a lost bird gets reported its up to the rpra one loft to get them back to the loft, not the breeder / person who has entered them ......the birds are registered / transferred to the one loft .
our 3 who have gone missing are not our responsibility once they arrived at the one loft and were transferred . |

| Thanks David, the point is never heard of what actualy happens.
There must have been some reported but never any mention of them.
Does the OL have the right to transfer them on to a finder etc; without the fancier entering them being informed ?.
Regards.

| yes misty i would think they do have the right to transfer a found pigeon, its their bird .......although i do think they collect them if within a reasonable distance , and also i would presume they have a cheaper rate from couriers to return them . |

| Then it would be interesting to know how often this happens and who entered the pigeons concerned.
Think an entrant has every right to know if it happens to their entry/entries.
Leaves food for thought as it has several possible implications.

| My concern being that it is open to many different senarios.
All fanciers are not honest, I know from personal experience some held in high regard should never be allowed in any sport.
Others have cheated at the highest level.
To put it bluntly.
The pigeons entered are obviousy from the best the fanciers concerned can enter, some costing thousands of pounds, there is nothing to stop, if David is right, for any pigeon/pigeons to be removed from the loft and transfered to a FRIEND etc;
This implies nothing other than one of the possibilities, amongst many.
Regards.

Happens often Misty. Had a Ganus US banded pigeon here. He had sold it to another guy as a yb. 50 miles from here. Reported it to him. He said he would not pick it up. Do whatever. Not uncommon. Yet this guy was a director of the Canadian Racing Pigeon union! So it stayed and bred the following year. I kid you not when I say it beat his birds in a Fed race. Did not mention it to anyone. |

| Agree Knackered, 99% of fanciers involved are the salt of the earth and would never give cheating in any way a thought and one should trust until have reasons not to.
My reasoning is, if a fancoer puts his/her pigeons into a OLR he/she is entitled to know what happens to them if the circumstances are known.
There will of course be many losses without explanation.

Looking forward to it anyway.
