Oh dear,.......!

Put the youngsters out 6:00 am glorious morning, 5 mins later blanket of fog dropped in, visibility down to 250 yards, sun just trying to break through now. Not a feather been seen for an hour, this will sort them out I reckon. Some still squeaking

any update

Not the way to sort them out though barnie.

Just hope they all return.

No doubt settled when visibility became poor where they were at the time.

Wires etc; possible problems, but they do not sort the good from the bad.

3 back out of 19 Ray, fog dropped back in again. Never seen it change so quick up here, I know it can on the coast but we're 1300ft above sea level, well above where it lies in the valleys early morning, hopefully it burns off soon. If 3 can get back I'm sure some more will manage.

9 back now, fog burning off quickly, fingers crossed they don't run into trainers.

nightmare colin ...strange that happening eh given yer position ,hope you get them all back and that mist clears very quickly

Three to come, they are emptying the drinker!

Well done barnie, will be hard to lose now, hope the others turn up, maybe in the long run done them the world of good

No problem. I've, after taking on board a very good and seasoned flyer I said 'They can hardly see the roof tops. (well actually a bit more) - I was in Oxford giving his and mine a training toss -
65 miles. What do want me to do. Wait a while or bring them home'!

True1 Both lofts had good returns... about usual time too.

Fogs in general etc Daz I've found are local much of the time & 3/4 hundred feet in height & the birds can be in bright sun light at times if the can just get above it when flying. All that being said thou no future letting birds go on race day in a fog I suggest as most/many, could/would get a hiding on average.

at least the youngest are home eh i would have been most concerned about them ,hope the other 2 drop in for you ...may well be dehydrated though but i am sure yer on it atb

All back now, used up my luck for this month in one go!

Could not be more happy for you, education a good thing, they will certainly have learned a lot.
