| so nearly half the birds are already gone ............... , thats disgraceful well done darren, on breeding someone that bird to win, it shows too that the ybs at the one loft arnt really being managed with there best interests at heart . |

| Was living near a 2 1/2 mile long and nigh a mile wide. A side a steeple church. My pigeons flew past my loft often. Strayed into another loft near by. Yet - of course - they could/would have seen my loft from over 60 miles away easily. Indeed on high we could I guess easily.
Once the bird 'Locks' in to its home, it sees very little. Indeed not much until last second. Missing trees buildings etc. last minute. |

| about 50/60 ybs never went the toss before so add them to ... it seems the late arrivals miss the next toss and have a days rest, with no basketing list nobody can be exact ,but to my reckoning there was about 1000 ybs left before yesterdays toss ,matters not though its out of ours hands so just hope for the best type of thing ...i doubt they will be trained today |

| thing is, with all those birds, how do they know whos a late arrival .........how do they remember which bird it is, and when basketing they wont catch a thousand birds by hand........they will probably herd them into a basket .
i think they will do whatever they want, and late birds will go with the trainers most of the time , apart from the odd occasion when the bird is injured etc |

| DAYS REST.
Any pigeon that has had a battering of one kind or another does not recover in a day nor even a couple of weeks.
Would be far better giving all the pigeons a couple of weeks open loft and forget all these short tosses and get them all in good health (IF POSSIBLE).
Think too many being thrown away.
Regards.

| Far better just loft flying. Open hole would be great. Small feed in morning and out, then fed in at around 4.30. the rest that they are doing, or supposedly, is a complete and utter fallacy of a false intent. one certainly not needed. Was, seasons last end, toying with the idea of entering a couple of birds ... Nary a chance now. Better throwing my money to the family or such. Do some good and give them enjoyment. P.s. Come to think of it, and thuse reading, I wonder if I had a mental elaspe! ? |

sadly i think your right daz, truth is, they have got their money, so what happens training or racing is irrelavent ........prize money will be there for the winners, and the proffit will be there for wages and the rpra |

| Yes. Feel it be far better to put the £125 for each bird towards a big shop for daughters. Indeed two of them. Both now single parents. So another, as before, £150 - £250 of tins, bread packets etc. etc. wil be far more appropiate and useful.
Besides being good to treat them now, as to leave - which I will after I'm dead, buried and gone. Will see some enjoyment and a good and close relationships.

| Cannot understand how there can be so many late arrivals from 23 miles.
Makes no sense, in particular when the pigeons involved are from fanciers best.
Should all be home and dry within minutes.
Raptors etc; no excuse.
Pleased we have at least one back and every faith the other will turn up.
However, does not give one overall confidence for the actual races when they cannot fly 23 miles in reasonable time.
Regards.

| A rest lol.
Circle 50 times around the loft ... 25 miles lol.
My son, aged 17 went on the whizz with his brother in-law. Nissed as a pewt at 3 in morning went sleep. Brother in law disturbed him. He asked 'Where you going'? 'I told you, I'm doing a marathon run today'. Wayne - my son asked 'Can I come with you, if that's O.k.'! 'Sure if you think you can run 26 miles'!
Well Wayne did the 26 miles, and was home before the brother - in - law at that!
Natures fitness? 23 miles isn't even a misnomer. Its rediculous. And to think they are being paid! With your money!
