UPDATE 27/08/2021 August 27th, 2021 Good Evening
A busy day at the lofts preparing for Hot Spot One from Ashbourne which is booked for this Sunday.
I have made some admin alterations to some of the names on the Benzing data base if you notice some of the names have been altered etc.
We will be hand marking tomorrow morning and checking every pigeon and making sure all ring numbers are correct and ETS tags are working.
Sunday morning we will load them early and they will be off to Ashbourne and once arrived and i have set up with water on etc i will give them 2 hrs to settle and then hopefully liberate 12noon to 1pm.
Looking at the forecast and wind conditions i do expect a mile a minute race but my main aim is to give you a great race and hopefully percent returns to match as we all know how difficult this racing season is so far.
There will be a marked list on tomorrow lunchtime and a list of birds not going soon after and birds that returned today wont be marked and rested for the next race but two i noticed have been missing for a few weeks but were give them the best chance i think at the moment 23 wont be marked for various reasons.
I will update tomorrow late afternoon.
If you are racing tomorrow have a great day.

I wait with great anticipation here etc David Just hope somehow our two little champs there are up & firing type of thing & I just hope they have better returns this year than last year in their first Ashbourne as such, which was a debacle I'm by my way of thinking Now no pressure but local O/L race here yesterday, running at around 82% returns early the next day here from around 300 miles for their 2nd race. So I ask the simple question would it be asking to much now too simply expect maybe much the same type of returns from Ashbourne at 70 odd miles & seeing as they will apparently have a tail wind up their backside type of thing for their journey home.

82% from a 300 mile yb event is a good show to me oz
