onwards and upwards

Now the shortest day is out the way we can look forward to clawing back a bit more daylight, couple of minutes each day. Still be over 2 months before I get home and be light enough in the loft to do anything but at least it's heading the right way, spring is in the air  

be a while before its noticeable eh colin, noticed the other day early morning, the cocks were all lively and chasing around the loft .......maybe a sign to pair up soon .

Also maybe time for your lawn mower etc David again. Shortly perhaps be watching the grass grow there type of thing, quicker than your feed disappears with your breeding season .

yes the grass could do with a cut now really, not thats its long it isnt, but it would be better a bit shorter........only problem is the ground is too wet at the moment .

i spoke too soon, past few days never got properly light, low damp cloud cloaking this hill, half mile visibility at best. much prefer blue sky and hard frosts this time of year, better for livestock too.

I'm with you on that one etc Barnie nothing worse than being locked in by fog & mist when one first wakes up of a morning etc.
