Strange why they packed in the first place. I personally don't like walkers but I use them if only a last resort

glad to hear they are back, obviously a big drop in their profits is the motivation to come back, just goes to show these people have no regard for the fancier only the £££££££££££, i think fanciers should boycott walkers for a while to show how they let us down ........

they wont be my first port of call in future, ill stick with the couriers who stuck by us and didnt let us down for the sake of a few quid .

Maybe they were just short of drivers for a while and had to suspend services? Everywhere is struggling to recruit workers at the moment, no-one seems to want to get up and go to work any more.

PostSubject: Re: Walkers are back   Walkers are back EmptyMon Oct 10, 2022 1:20 pm

cant see it being short of drivers, they only collected and delivered pigeons 2 days a week ..........they transport other animals and items anyway so i cant see it being a problem.

plus they were still delivering to ireland and belguim, but just within the uk

no logic in that apart from money, and thats why they have come back because of the drop in profits .

thing is if it were true about the 30 birds and the driver not waiting, how on earth is the fancier supposed to box them up until walkers come with the boxes .....ive boxed ybs up in plain brown boxes from the corn shop, but walkers insist on the birds going in their own walkers boxes, plus the driver cannot / will not help boxing birds up .

not sure what went on but the driver who collected the birds wasnt the same driver as the one who delivered the birds ......i dare say they had more than 2 drivers in a company like walkers .

PostSubject: Re: Walkers are back   Walkers are back EmptyMon Oct 17, 2022 10:44 pm

i think they should make fanciers aware, i for one dont want birds sent out to people which are caged for a week .......if they far ill etc it will come back on me , plus i dont like it for the birds sake either

unless the reason for holding them was because they either came from, or was going to an area which has avian flu ........?
