One aspect of our sport George that I never liked, however, I went through several different periods regarding culling. As a kid would not kill my pets, be they pigeons or rabbits etc; but would when a little older catch and kill and eat nearly anything I could catch. Culling is necessary evil in many sports including ours. No fancier could run a successful loft and keep every pigeon. As for showing, loved it as much as racing, we had club shows every Winter and there was always open shows in the area (still is) but the clubs do not have the membership necessary to do so now. We used to have tea, coffee cakes etc; Then handle a few winners and say how the judge had cocked things up (only kidding) Gone for ever I am afraid, SAD. Regards. |

As in all sports George you get, the good, the bad and the indifferent. Met them all at one time or another. Appears a very odd event George. Silly idea basing killing all those pigeons on such a flimsy excuse. You could have established who entered the pigeon by asking the RPRA it's background. Not forgetting a ring can be put on another pigeon. Choose your friends better George. Regards. |

You misread George, said merry things up, not depress. More cons on the internet selling options than sand on the sea shore. If there is a method to cheat and deceive there will always be those to take advantage. Some of them are so clever at deceiving and gaining information as to be beyond belief. Answer, keep well clear. Appreciate the humour. Regards. |

Surely the site he advertised on should prosecute him for attempted theft. Cannot do it any good. Think there is more to running a OL event than many think. Regards. |

Just how many were left George after the end of the race and there after. Did the pigeon in the final get all the prize money?. Seems strange. Regards. |
