Rare day off work, slept like a log after wandering around Blackpool all weekend So it's pairing up day today, open up boxes keep my eye on them, bowls in tomorrow, then it's up to them to get on with things. 9 pairs racers, plus 1 pair naturals for 2023

it's still second  hand  never had shed taken down go up easy it's in Cornwall  so you have taking it down and transports  cost on top

I saw that too George, looks a grand shed and I know I'd struggle to buy the timber alone for the price. Too far regarding travel but someone will snap it up.

not able to collect my rings this year order them from rpra yesterday had them this morning very bright green

Sounds reasonable if decent quality but feel before long there will be pigeon lofts for sale at bargain prices.

Without the doom and gloom of the virus, raptors, prices, etc the average age of existing fanciers is not indicative of a healthy membership.

Those leaving for several different reasons are not being replaced.

Most Regions membership is at a poor all time low.

Several Regions have lost their secretaries and apparently been hard to replace.

Think without the obvious problems some fanciers are feeling the pinch.

When you see and read about the youth of today one can only be saddened by the lack of interest in anything but artificial rather than natural persuits.

Think in our area over the past 60 years the number of fanciers has declined by over 80%.

From 4 thriving clubs to one with 11 members not all who have pigeons, some just hoping for a pay out if the club folds.

The NE Region membership has fallen below 1,000 for the first time.

Best bet enjoy it whist you can.

yes the price of materials now is outrageous........it will stop me extending for the foreseeable future .

mechanic came today, fitted new rear wheel caliper and small brake pipe ....all sorted ready for the MOT next week .

i had to do some tests yesterday on my brain  i failed until he asked me to take away 7 from 100 each time that part of my brain is ok and was so quick he could not keep up with me and asked me to stop 

Good morning all. Loft today and got to get my bookwork up to date . The rest of the stock need written down. Might put some plastic rings on the hens as well .see how it goes

my memory isnt good george, i cant remember something said to me an hour ago, yet counting or adding numbers im usually pretty good at.

i wouldnt be worried over the test george, it shows you are on the ball and all there.....take no notice of these halfwit doctors who think they know best, when in actual fact they know very little .

The fact you can talk about it George is a good sign.

Think most people have bouts of depression George life throws all sorts at us.

Just think months ahead, look forward to doing well in the ol race and breeding a few champs.

As for memory, I have lost mine, can stay awake at night just thinking of a name that escapes me.

You have much to look forward to and not forgetting Morgan, he needs your advice etc;

mine is last thing you could think off may know out come soon

one of my lofts is 10x6 this one seems much larger

Look bigger when they're empty George, that's a decent strong framed shed, lined out and electric set up too. Just don't like the sterling board on roof, but I'm sure it has tin sheetings on the top on the photos I saw which will make sure it's waterproof?

mine has a ridge roof will change it in the summer

Not bad as it stands George but does not look like an easy move.

I would certainly not want to attempt to move it.

The inner lining of the roof would be a problem as the roof its self.

Be it sterling or chip, both only have to get damp and problems.


You do a good job on your own lofts and more than adequate for the number of pigeons you keep.

Put a photo on of your new nest boxes George.
