How’s the breeding going

just realized i have a real problem with the extra bird for the olr it has not been vaccinated

Have you a local fancier that could vaccinate it George?

Do not know the regulations regarding how long they should be vaccinated before going into the OL, be a pity to miss out because of that.

Zoe has just email me it's ok to bring the bird it will go into quarantine for 10 days and she will vaccinated

it's really helpful David if i had known would have taken the other 2 few weeks earlier

Have high hopes George, a better setup me thinks and yours look good to me but we all know all that glitters etc;

they are best 3 bred birds in loft that's all i can do never had any luck in olr done good in test lofts

i think small one lofts are the way to go, ill be watching a couple of them during the season, see how they compare with the big one lofts....

could be big olr David with small numbers

yep george, seems the big one lofts numbers are dwindling  .......but still not for me

Got about 8 ybs to go over then that's it ...still far too many

have been waiting 3 months for a hen to lay found a egg on the floor so just put it in a nest bowl till 2nd egg was laid then throw both away the hen been waiting on laying is on the egg which means she is barren

2 more hatched this morning when i went in, theres a couple more im going to hatch to keep my self, then thats it i think .....i paired up early so dont want to take too much out of them.

i have started to part mine David it's good when breeding starts but you then want it to finish

6 just sold sunday misty, they are going to wales again .......the fancier who bought them only keeps van reets and seems very clued up about the "breed".

he says they will be raced and he will let me know how they do, either good or bad

i have around 20 still in the nest, 2 will be going into our club breeder buyer and 4 to a club member.

Yes we are going to separate ours as well soon

been logged out twice to-day last 2 ybs going to club secretary next weekend  rung 2 ybs to-day at 6 days old much easier 2 more to hatch that's it for another year

two nice chequers george, be nice if he lets you know how they do ....

had enough of breeding this year, just waiting on a pair to hatch which i intend keeping myself then thats it im separating them

he will let me know David as get corn from him his son has think 4 maybe 6 could well be a good clean out later in the year

a pair ive been waiting on their eggs to hatch eggs have gone cold and thery have left them, why i dont know.....maybe they just didnt hatch and they left them or maybe something scared them ...

i did intend keeping the ybs off this pair for future breeding, but thats put a spanner in the works now .
