wildlife in general disappearing all over the country misty, many reasons i think, one being new houses , expanding cities etc .....never a thought for wildlife who have been there for hundreds of years .

what was the problem misty, a new clutch ...?

You might be right about the housing David, fields and woods where I used to go ferreting for rabbits are now close packed housing estates, no gardens and breaking up the connections between the two. (woods, fields) etc;)

Yes new clutch David second one in no time.

Do not laugh, found out the car has four gears not three.

Been burning the clutch in third gear at speed.

Came about accidently with all the road works sending you nuts and became a habit.

my car has 6 gears misty, i never use them and stick to the 4 i learnt to drive with ....... but thats a new one on me misty

We learn something most days David.

We have more traffic hold ups than you can imagine then everyone tears off and you then have another hold up shortly after no time to get into n top gear then you get used to not doing it, old age and poverty David.

i passed my test in a ford escort mk2 misty, driving instructors car it was ......failed the first test as it was the first time i`d ever drove in day light, seemed very strange as was used to learning in the dark after getting home from work ...

passed 2nd time

Learned in the army David.

Drove all kinds of army vehicles including the Layland ten tonner, from Cella in Germany to the Hook of Holland to collect red star stores took an overnight stay in the Windmill on the Aoutoban, boring driving straight roads no pot holes.

My first motor was a morris van held together by faith.

Then company cars until the rule came in that you had to seperate your own use to company use.

So I bought my own, waste of money, two new rovers, one new fiat had our present one for 9 years ford fusion bought it off old lady with 3500 on the clock and still have it.

If had my time again would buy a horse and cart.

No clutches.

had electrician here this morning, replaced new sockets and light switches ....... now dog sitting for my daughters dog, two of them in the house now

my birds are still moulting, not far to go yet at a rough guess, some ive looked at have a flight or two to go ....... is this normal or has everyone elses finished ?

that's what i asked few of mine have long to go or could they be in a 2nd moult

i dont know george, i separated mine early this year when i stopped breeding, i was wondering if it had any effect on them moulting ........

mine all look ok in the body .

If a pigeon is healthy it will moult in accordance with nature.

Think the only thing that may affect it is if the feed is changed drastically.

When wild birds are moulting all the wild seeds are available.

Bit simple that thinking Misty in general I suggest first requirement in a pigeon sense these days make life difficult for one self looking for that magic type moulting mix.

talking to Morgan this morning it was half term last week he earned £425 at the butchers shop not bad for a 16 year old better than sitting at home

Not a bad payday George.

Used to help Jaques the butcher in my school days, delivering orders by bike and helping with the sausage making ( getting the last bit of meat off the bones)

Top money half a crown on a Saturday and an Ox Tail.

Them were the happy days, happy as as a sand boy.

He had a daughter Anne, we got on very well.

Old birds that fed and reared babies then raced have about 2 flights to go. OB's that didn't rear have 3 or 4 to go. Young birds on dark have still about 5 to go in some instances.
So you can see what delays the moult in my loft.

Just shows when we humans interfere with nature it does not improve matters.
