Good Morning

if you got the time it's good to feed them every few hours george just till they eat everything then they don't pick and choose. Mine's the opposite if they could get away with it they'd leave the beans. Luckily for me my wife feeds them twice a day and I get to them before and after work now so about every 2.5 hours fed until they start leaving beans in the hopper. Get a balanced diet this way, my way of thinking anyway. I'll take some photos when I get a chance.

club meeting this morning, paid my subs/ rings etc ...... secretary not taking the extra money for the rpra fees, she said ecause theres a lot of trouble over it she will wait to see what happens and if it does go up then we will need to pay the extra .......

on checking have 3 hens not laid yet in the nest for weeks but no eggs 7 pairs have gone down 5 with ybs now

this is the corn I've mixed up for breeding, never used beans for over 20 years but price of corn is ridiculous and beans are cheaper than a lot of straights and a good filler-up.

rember back in 70s fancier fed only beans

rung 4 ybs to-day nearly got caught out

They grow quickly george, if I don't write dates down or reminders on my phone I'm hopeless these days.

i thought they were 6 days looking at them and getting rings on may be 7-8 days

a bit of washing up liquid on the leg will get them on easier george ........

Hopeless you say trust me  you haven't perhaps experienced anything yet Colin I suspect by my general inept/fumbling ways down here now with my birds.

good morning all have 2 blank eggs in a nest when i checked 2 weeks ago thought they were full blue hen still sitting in the nest but no eggs

when are your first ybs ready to wean george ...?

now waiting on Darren  have a few paint rollers never used them did to-day on shed floor much easier
need to wean them to-morrow
