Think you are being unfair to the young you breed, you have no idea how they were treated or tested.

agree with misty, it's easy to get the wrong impression.

My thoughts here; the only way you'll get a realistic test of the youngins you breed is breed about a dozen at least, all the same age within a few days of each other, get them all into a loft where the fancier knows how to fly a decent YB and has done for years, get him to just treat them same as his own, feeding, training, racing, no messing about, get them down the road / Then see how it pans out come the end of YB racing, how they compare to his own birds. Easier said than done I know at a time when everyone is top heavy with pigeons, but I can tell it means a lot to you to get them tried out properly.

Colin to a degree helps fill the day in type thing if one has nothing else to do as such All for looking at eyes on the general health issue side here & the fitness scenario of a bird, but trying to find something there that more than likely is only out there in fantasy land is not my way I'm   End of the day in our brutal race at the weekend from 540 odd miles, my 2nd bird in the clock was actually a cock, one of only a few clocked by nightfall all up & he will be now going into stock here & if being quite honest I will not give a thought/rats me being me as I'm here     to what colour or pattern his eyes actually are as such, as I'm just glad he has two   .

Always say here a wise man wisely picks his friends wisely etc Misty perhaps our George here when choosing where his birds go now in the future     could maybe take note of my dribble/wisdom here also as such .
