sent 15 bird;s to ripon 246 miles to us only got back 8 david.

give you an idea of our club result;s we were 7th and the winner was almost 1 hour in front of us.
we got a hen back today and the wind was so bad she had trouble landing on the trap.
she was being blown off it.
went into the loft about 6pm and this game bird had gone into her nest and laid her first egg.

so how long did it take the winner to do the 246 mile john...?

thy went up at 7am and the first one was in at just after 1 pm.
not good at MATHS david.

4 hours, so how come the somerset one loft birds have flown 60 miles more and are still not home yet.....

don i could not be leave it when i look in the nest and her sitting there with the egg under her.
she was showing interest in the nest but i did not no she was about to lay.
was told tonight if she had laid in the crate i would not have got her back.
it was blowing a hole northerly gale here.
when she came home.

david the wind has gone into the north up here today.
that would be the reason.

ah right, they were liberated at 6.45 this morning and none home yet.........has been hard work for them ill bet, hope we have one tommorrow morning.

well i have two due to hatch around the time of national as well so might send 4 hens and two cocks but what ever happens lads i have had a fantastic year topping feds second feds third feds trophys cash wining gold ring race its been fantastic this year thats the birds coming in to there own now after three years so i must be doing sommit right lads

its along fly for a young bird 350 miles to us long fly any north in the wind and i wont be puting any
