| the thing is with all this treatment you read about all these top fanciers home and abroad treating for this and that and every body follows suit , these top birds are proped up with pills and potions you no little about ok they might work but it starts a change of events you treat the the parents then you have to treat the youngters as well and it goes on and on in the end you have a family of pigeons that can only win with regular treatment if you want to go down that road go ahead no one can stop you . 9 times out of 10 if i have a bird or birds what arn,t up to scratch or arn,t looking well they get moved on no one else gets them i want my birds to have a stress free life as possible they only get injected for parra and they have there droppings tested then thats it i have my own ways of keeping them germ free over 30 years of keeping pigeons and talking to certain people ive found ways of doing this at the end of the day i do this for enjoyment i don,t want to spend my hard earned cash on potions just to win a pigeon race . if i have upset any one then im sorry its not ment to each to there own this is my way win or lose |

| david , i get there droppings checked before pairing and if needed i do treat but if there levels are low i leave well alone ido have the treatments in case but i haven,t used them in years by the way the pigeons what will be coming down for the challange will be treated for the yb programe but my own will be treated in my own way and will be compaired at the end of the yb national to see what as done the best treated or not treated . ian no offence taken i have full confidence in my own pgeons in the big races it will be very intresting . david in time i will disclose what i do in my routine ready for the big races and to stop using meds . cheers kev |

| Kev i agree 100 % with you, you have let your pigeons own defences fight over the years and this has made the immune system a lot stronger compared to ones which have been treated here and there
You look at Frank Tasker he will tell you to let the birds build up the immune system |

| not been on site very much all week and when i come back the sites in turmoil, no, only joking, its good to see some decent points of view and different opinions from members which just shows its each to their own regarding treatments/management etc p.s. ian, robbiedoo. is in scotland where the pigeon fanciers tend to call the pigeons doos. |
