yes don, thers a fancier near me who is winning all the time......this is because he is always trying different things with them, some say he could win with a fantail.

yes, i agree with you both...its no good having good birds if they arnt motivated correctly or to their full potential......

But you need to be motivated yourself also

yes don, thats true......its hard getting up at 6 in the morning and going through the routine of exercising the birds, cleaning out etc, i couldnt do it i dont think but i know a good few of our members do it day in day out and credit to them.....

I always did it

When at school in the 6 weeks summer holidays i would be up at 4.30 with my dad and down the pen by 5.00am and the young birds would be out at 5.30-6.00

My dad worked in a foundary and started work at 6.00am

i think thats how you have to be if you want to be successful don,you get out of it what you put into it.......at the moment i dont have that commitment but hopefully i will when i get round to racing, altho i know a good fancier should have it 365 days a year.....

It's the only way to win mate

once you start racing again david you will get the bug

i agree, he is right don.....ive often thought the same thing when you see the pictures of pigeon men in the bhw, rp weekly etc......they all have a certain look about them.
